And that’s the tour finished!
Thanks to everyone who helped and supported Malakyte on our 2013 East Coast Resonance tour; to all the people involved with the production of the album, to all the promoters and organisers, to everyone who let us crash on their floor or drove us to the gigs, to all the bands we shared the stage with, and most importantly, to all of the very supportive fans who came to the shows!!
We have two more Queensland shows to close off the year (which we will soon announce). We will be back on the road sometime in 2014!
Keep it true!
Our brand new “Media Suicide” T-shirts are now available.
They will be available at the shows on our upcoming tour, or you can buy at our new online store www.malakyte.bigcartel.com
We’ve been very busy over the last couple of months and have quite a few exciting announcements to make tonight! We don’t know where to begin…
First thing’s first, tomorrow night we will releasing the first single from our upcoming album. “Embodiment” will be premiered on Triple J’s “The Racket” programme from 10pm tomorrow night (Tuesday, September 3), hosted by our good friend Lochlan Watt. Tune into 107.7fm (nationally) or listen online at http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/
We are also very proud to finally unveil the title for our album…
Produced and mixed by Sam Alcock (Defamer), and mastered by Harris Johns (responsible for Kreator’s 1986 magnum opus “Pleasure to Kill”), with artwork by Dan Goldsworthy (Hell, Sylosis), “Human Resonance” will be made available on October 25.
We will also be touring the Australian East Coast in support of the album throughout the end of October/beginning of November.
After ten solid months of recording, we’re very happy with the sound of the album so far and can’t wait until we finally release it (October feels like ages away)! We’d like to thank everyone who has supported Malakyte throughout 2013 so far, and we hope to eventually see you all on the tour!
Malakyte will be performing a FREE All-ages show at the 4zzzFM car park on Saturday the 27th of July with the amazing Party Vibez from Melbourne.
Location: 4zzzFM car park, St. Paul’s Terrace, Brisbane City.
Also, it’ll be Trip’s birthday, so show him some love.
After sharing the stage with them in our hometown, Malakyte will be heading to Sydney’s Valve Bar on July 5 to support the almighty METAL, on their last show before their Japanese tour.
Also gracing the stage to warm up the spectacle are Sydney’s own Fenrir and Enter VI.
Counting down the days until Municipal Waste, and we will have another interstate show to announce very soon.
In the meantime, we present to you the video of our recent WA tour.
Watch us as we pay out Muz on missing the free beer during the plane ride, Laggs pays out Trip on his “Smooth Canoes”, Muz pays Liam out on his flyer-making skills…
Hell, I think that’s all we did in WA… got drunk, played shows, listened to Judas Priest and constantly gave each other shit.
Time to announce the next show…
Get your boogie boards ready, for Malakyte will be supporting hard-partyin’ thrashaholics MUNICIPAL WASTE at Brisbane’s Hi-Fi!
